Marco Island Summer Time Update

FIRST: The BIG NEWS
Marco Bridge is almost finished
Both Spans of the Bridge are now open. This past week the bridge construction finished enough work to open 1 lane on each span of the bridge. I expect that both lanes will be open soon.

In Other NEWS
Dunkin’ Donuts is working to open soon in Marco Town Center Mall. I saw construction workers in the storefront doing the buildout. I guess it will be open by season. I can’t wait for a Chocolate Bismark and a Coffee.

Marco Real Estate NEWS

We have 2 new owners on Marco. Congratulations to Eugene and Jeanette, proud owners of a South Seas Tower Unit.
Also to Jose and Jackie closing on their Anglers Cove Unit this week.

As for our business we have been busy with buyers shopping for deals all summer. Much more so than last year. In Marco MLS there are 3 bank owned homes and 2 bank owned condos for sale. As for Short Sale properties there are 39 homes and 36 condos on the market. Also there are a total of 1352 properties for sale on Marco as of the beginning of the month. This is 233 less units than the same month last year and the lowest number in over 5 years. I believe if this trend continues it may be more difficult to find motivated sellers.
